Living History:
Create a Living History Experience
This historic encounter is designed for teachers
who are interested in bringing history alive. Master teachers
from the Living History Education Foundation, who use these highly
effective techniques, will provide a 15-hour on-site course in
colonial living skills of the Revolutionary Period. As a participant,
you will immerse yourself in the history of New York by experiencing
a hands-on exploration of skills, trades, and activities typical
of colonial life. Upon completion of this course, you will receive
a packet of materials to use in the classroom and will be able
to use a cross curricular approach to plan and execute an 18th
century Living History experience with your students.
