Brief History: This is the first year of the program and we really started in the late Fall of 2006. We attracted about 15-20 students at meetings on Wednesays after school. We took 13 students on 27 April 2007 to Fort Montgomery to recreate the hike the British made to attack Forts Montgomery and Clinton in October 1777. This was a success for us and a good start for the program. Our next trip will be to Stony Point in late September or early October of 2007. We hope to be able to dovetail this club into the newly created Humanities Research program that is being developed at Lakeland and offer our students even more opportunities for hands-on learning.
